Haven’t had time to edit my interview with Jonti Dan (aka Danimals), so as a teaser to his quirky sound, here’s an Adidas video featuring his song “Begone Slumber”. (MUCH) more to come about this young luminary.

Walking outside the hotel in a warm rain. (Backing music: “All Of Your Things” by Aussie group The Raah Project)
I met up with Ethiopia-born Aussie resident Dereb Desalegn while traveling in Australia. This is a recording of him singing and playing the masenqo - the one string violin common in traditional Ethiopian music. (Thanks to the good folks at Other Tongues for letting us use your space, and for all the great music)
Was a pleasure to stop in on Huwston’s “SOUL GLOW” radio show today on 2ser, Sydney community radio. The man has exceptional taste and is responsible for bringing heaps of international talent to Australia. He featured me for an hour, where I shared my own remixes, a live recording of Musaics (my live ensemble), and a few exclusives. Definitely make sure to catch the podcasts of his brilliant programming. #SoulFood
The emotional highlight of my footage from the YouTube Symphony Orchestra jam session at The Basement jazz club last Saturday… Aboriginal opera singer Delmae Barton and her son William Barton on didgeridoo, performing “Spirit Of The Earth”.
On Saturday I filmed some improvisations at the YouTube Symphony Orchestra jam session, held at The Basement jazz club in Sydney. This is Venezuelan violinist Alí Bello performing “Didgeridoo Dream for Violin”. He opened by saying that when he found out he won the contest to join the YTSO, he had a dream, and that this piece was the interpretation of that dream.
Landed in Sydney at sunrise. #LovinEveryMinuteOfIt [Music: Flying Lotus “Do The Astral Plane (Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Strings Edit)”]
